As per PRP3604: All students earning a first baccalaureate degree will take at least 30 of their last 45 credits at Bloomsburg University, no more credits are required than the 30 credits. All first baccalaureate students will take at least 50% of credits required for the Major from a PASSHE university. Bloomsburg University may require up to a maximum of 50% of the Major credits. Program exceptions to the policy are to be approved by the Office of the Chancellor.
Students must fulfill the requirements for the major, the general education courses and whatever free elective credits remain to bring the number of semester hours to 120. Attention transfer students: of the thirteen courses needed for the major, at least seven must be taken at Bloomsburg. All art courses at Bloomsburg are three semester hours unless indicated otherwise.
A total of 39 semester hours is required for a major in art studio. Required courses include:

Develop expertise in one area through additional coursework: Drawing, Painting, Fabric Design, Printmaking, Photography, Sculpture, or Graphic Design. Minimum: 2 courses including at least one advanced-level course in area of concentration.
Take at least two 200 level or above ARTHSTRY prefix courses. Students concentrating in Graphic Design must take ARTHSTRY.370 History of Graphic Design.
ARTSTDIO.400 ART STUDIO CAPSTONE
The remaining credits must fulfill MyCore general education requirements and free electives. Three semester hours must be MUSIC, THEATRE, or DANCE prefix courses.
