The minor provides a basic competence in economics for non-economics majors and constitutes 18 semester hours. Courses required for a minor in economics are:
ECONOMIC.121 Principles of Macroeconomics
ECONOMIC.122 Principles of Microeconomics
ECONOMIC.221 Macroeconomic Theory
ECONOMIC.222 Micro and Managerial Economics
* a) Students can choose from Economic 256 (Business and Economics Statistics I) and/or ANY 300 or 400 level Economics courses (except Economic 497) to satisfy the minor requirements.
b) Only ONE Economic 480 (Special Topics m Economics) may be used towards the requirements of the minor.
c) Economic 256 (Business and Economics Statistics I) carries 3 GEPs for Goal 3, and Economic 313 (Labor Economics) carries 2 GEPs for Goal 4.
