The DNP is a terminal degree for those advanced practice nurses (nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists, nurse midwives, clinical nurse specialists) who desire an alternative to the PhD.,
Students completing the Bloomsburg University DNP will be prepared to assume a higher level of responsibility and leadership in nursing and health care, with the ultimate goal of improving the health care delivery system of the nation. The proposed program focuses on practice-oriented research in private and/or public sector careers to include clinical practice, health education, leadership, research application, and analysis of health care outcomes.
