In addition to the 53 semester hours of general education requirements, a total of 34 semester hours is required for a major in political science; the balance of the university's 120-semester hour requirement for a bachelor's degree come from free elective courses.

18 semester hours in Political Science, 12 semester hours of which must be chosen from upper division courses, i.e., at the 300 level or above.
Law option
